Fall 2009 Graduate Deadlines
August 11, 2009
Because the incoming
students to our Ph.D. degree program have orientation activities till 5
pm on August 17th and 18th, the placement examinations on these two
days will start at 5:30 pm instead.
In addition, Dr. Alexei Demchenko, the Director of Graduate Studies of
the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, will speak to incoming
students at 4:30 pm on August 15th preceding the placement examination
on Physical Chemistry.

Schedule for our next set of placement examinations:
August 15th, 2009: Physical
August 17th, 2009: Biochemistry
August 18th, 2009: Organic
August 19th, 2009: Inorganic
August 20th, 2009: Analytical
Time: 5-7 PM
Location: Benton Hall Room 451
You may use calculator and molecular model.
Following these
examinations, please meet with your MS student advisor (Room 203,
Center for Nanoscience) to select courses for the Fall 2009
semester.

Our next set of placement examinations should begin on August 17,
2009 between 5 PM and 7 PM in Benton Hall Room 451.
More detail will be posted later.
Preparation for these
examinations is strongly recommended.
Calculator and molecular models may be used. Following your last
examination, please meet with your advisor no later than Friday, August 21, 2009 to select courses for the Fall 2009 semester.
