Hello, my name is Meghan Engel. I came to the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) in November 2016 to begin my career as an academic advisor. Prior to coming to UMSL, I spent 5 ½ years working as a Physical Therapist in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2009, my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2011, and my Master's in Adult and Higher Education from UMSL in 2016. During my time as a student at UMSL, I worked as a Graduate Assistant and Alumni Mentor for a first-year experience course. It was through this experience and my time spent working with therapy students in the clinics that I realized my desire to work in higher education. Considering my strong science background, I am especially excited to help science majors reach their educational and personal goals. I feel so fortunate to be at UMSL, and I am happy for the opportunity to help all students in the College of Arts & Sciences.
