Wednesday's news...

Hello Friends,

Today has been a great day for Dan.  He moved to a "regular" room (from ICU) around 10 am.  He was up and walking several times, and the "ins and outs" are all working well, and he even managed to rest a bit.

Dr. Black came in today and asked if Dan would like to leave the hospital tomorrow.  We need to stay here (in Boston) until Tuesday to see Dr. B. again to make a plan about further treatment.   He recommended that Dan go out and enjoy Boston a bit, Dan seems not quite ready for that, but happy to be able to leave the hospital.

Dr. Black also said that right now the swelling in Dan's head is at it's peak.  Physically, there are some movements that are better, and some that are not as good.  He said that physical therapy would be helpful in the next month or so, as the swelling resolves and then we will have a better idea of what his physical returns will be.

Tonight, we recieved another email from someone, previously unknown to us, who read Dan's journal because they were looking for information and a shared experience.  He introduced himself and shared a little of his fears as he begins his version of this path. He offered prayers and good wishes, and said he would gain comfort from re-reading Dan's journal again as things progress in his world.

This is Dan talking to Carole about this process of email journaling and communication with loving friends and family:

"It has been an amazing process.  Today, yesterday before the surgery, I can close my eyes, I can feel the cosmic energy reverberating through the cosmos and to me and through me, it is totally amazing.  I can still feel it today.

When my mom asked if there was anything we physically needed, and I said, we are bringing everything we physically need with us, and all we really need are prayers and wishes..."

Thank you all for sharing this healing journey with us.

With Love and Blessings,
Abi and Dan
