This orgaization is dedicated to all Veterans, with special dedication to those who served during the Cold War era September 1945 to December 1991.

American Legion
The American Legion is a patriotic, war-time veteran’s organization, devoted to mutual helpfulness.

AMVET: American Veterans
As one of America’s foremost veterans service organizations, AMVETS has a proud history of assisting veterans and sponsoring numerous programs that serve our country and its citizens.

Disabled American Veterans
The DAV is dedicated to building better lives for America’s disabled veterans and their families.

Grace After Fire
A place for women veterans, and their loved ones, to connect with one another and with our professional partners, to find resources, to learn and to get involved.

Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America
Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America is the nation's first and largest group dedicated to the troops and veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the civilian supporters of those troops and veterans.

Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW
The members of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars live by the motto, “Honor the dead by helping the living.”

Military Order of the Purple Heart
Chartered by Congress in 1958, The Military Order of the Purple Heart is composed of military men and women who received the Purple Heart Medal for wounds suffered in combat. Although our membership is restricted to the combat wounded, we support all veterans and their families with a myriad of nation-wide programs by Chapters and National Service Officers.

National Association of Black Veterans, Inc.
NABVETS provides strategic advocacy on behalf of its membership with Congress, the Federal Administration, State Administrations and other agencies and organizations. NABVETS provides personal advocacy on behalf of veterans seeking claims against the United States Department of Veterans Affairs; advocacy for youth in all matters required for successful passage into adulthood; advocacy on behalf of families; with community involvement, provides advocacy in creating positive lifestyles for veterans; and to generate and preserve the historical record.

Student Veterans of America
Student Veterans of America (SVA) is a coalition of student veterans groups from college campuses across the United States.

Vietnam Veterans of America
The only national Vietnam veterans organization congressionally chartered and exclusively dedicated to Vietnam-era veterans and their families.

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)
The mission of the VFW is to "honor the dead by helping the living" through veterans' service, community service, national security and a strong national defense.
