From faculty research collaborations to class assignments that connect you to the community – from hands-on internships and service projects to study abroad opportunities and a personalized Honors College experience – you’ll enjoy a quality learning environment at UMSL. So, whether you’re picking up your backpack or putting on a business suit, the UMSL experience is tailored to your academic and career goals.
College is an investment you make in yourself and your future. We think a high quality education shouldn’t break the bank. That’s why we work to keep an UMSL education affordable. Our annual tuition cost for fulltime (30 hours) undergraduate students is just over $10,000 for Missouri and Illinois residents before financial aid is applied.
We want to help remove the financial barriers to an UMSL degree. Let our financial aid experts help you navigate your options for scholarships, grants and loans to support your academic path. After you’re admitted to UMSL, you’ll automatically be considered for a wide range of automatic scholarships and you’ll have the opportunity to apply for additional competitive scholarships.
When it comes to your education, we know that one size doesn’t fit all. That’s why our degree programs are built to fit any schedule. Whether you want to earn your degree fully online, at our beautiful 470-acre campus during day, evening or weekend classes – or a mix of each – UMSL will meet you when and where you want.
As one of the most culturally and ethnically diverse campuses in Missouri, our students don’t easily fit one category. We couldn’t be prouder of that fact. We create a space for your voice, no matter your ability, age, ethnicity, gender expression, race, religion, sexual orientation or veteran status. It’s our mission to foster an inclusive and equitable environment where all are welcome, including you.
It’s okay to say it: a good job is an essential part of building a great life, and that’s what we want for you. Choose to combine the experiences you’ll have here at UMSL with the connections you’ll make, and we know you’ll have a pretty great start. Just ask our alumni – 94% of recent UMSL graduates report being successfully employed or enrolled in graduate school.
