Have you considered a career in Optometry?

Optometrists serve as primary eye care providers with the ability to diagnosis and treat disorders related to the ocular system. There is a need for optometrists all over the world and especially those willing to serve under-represented patient populations. Therefore, we are excited to offer a new program, Eyes on Diversity (pdf file), to area high school students that participate in the University of Missouri-St. Louis Bridge Program. In collaboration with UMSL College of Optometry, this new program will provide student participants with an opportunity to be exposed to the profession of optometry. Students will become familiarized with the College of Optometry's admissions process, clinical instruction in optometric care, and observe local optometrists in several different practice settings.

Note: Students must be a current participant or have participated in the Bridge Program.

Tentative schedule of events to be announced.
