Review for ABO Board Certification

Saturday - 8 hours COPE-CE / Sunday - 8 hours COPE-CEE

The American Board of Optometry was established to provide assurance that a doctor of optometry maintains the appropriate knowledge, skills and experience needed to deliver quality patient care. As a service to optometrists who intend to take the ABO examination, the UMSL College of Optometry faculty will present a REVIEW of the OD curriculum as a preparation for the ABO test. The ABO test is administered at Prometric test centers worldwide. The exam will be given in January and July each year going forward.

Saturday, August 18, 2012 – 8 Hrs. 

  1. Anterior Segment - 3 hr.
  2. Vision Rehabilitation - 1 hr.
  3. Posterior Segment - 2 hr.
  4. Optic Nerve/Glaucoma - 2 hr.

Sunday, August 19, 2012 – 8 Tested Hrs.

  1. Neuro-Ophthalmic Disorders - 2 hr.  
  2. Pre- and Post-Operative Care - 1 hr.
  3. Systemic Health - 1 hr.
  4. Binocular Vision Anomalies - 1 hr.
  5. Amblyopia & Aniseikonia - 1 hr.
  6. Contact Lenses - 2 hr.
