The Assyrians created a processional hall that a supplicant had to walk to address the king. Along the wall were carved pictures of Assyrian victories. As a visitor would walk towards the king, they would be treated to pictures of the king conquering tribe after tribe, killing and subjugating whole regions, and perhaps the visitor's own city.In thinking about the path that I took towards dating and sex, this seemed to be an appropriate metaphor.
Technical Stuff:
The entire picture was made in Ray Dream Designer, with the exception of placing me in the picture, which I did in Photoshop. The hall was made of a "u" shaped roof extruded back for some distance. The walls were made up of repeated "slabs" containing windows on the left side and the placed image of the woman on the right side. The floor was another flat form extended to the same distance as the walls and roof. A light source was placed outside to create the cast patterns on the floor and walls. The light was arranged to match the direction of the light in the existing slide of me that I planned to place in the image.
