Data Cubes

 . A data cube is a three (or more) dimensional array that provides a snapshot version of the data in a data warehouse

. Computerworld's discussion of a data cube

Begin with a 2-dimensional table

relational table

add a dimension, such as where they took the class and you get a 3-dimensional cube

multidimensional cube

You might add major or demographic characteristics to increase the dimensionality of the cube.
