Hello!

In case you didn't notice, this email isn't from the CNC account.  Shocker, right.  For those of you who don't know me, my name is Kelly Sedlacek and I am the Outreach Officer for the 2008-2009 school year, so you should expect to hear from me with upcoming activities for each week!  Hopefully everyone is ready for the semester to be coming to a close because it is rapidly approaching.  Need a break this week?  Stop by and see our new, amazing Newman Garden out by the hammock and give a big thanks to Tracy, Holly, Laura, and Mike for their green thumbs!

Love the Newman Center? Need a Job?
After much discernment about the structure of the Newman Center next year, Fr. Bill, Tracy, and I have decided to open up a part-time position here at the Newman Center for a student worker called the "House Manager".  Sooooo, if you love hanging out at the Newman Center and you generally take care of the place anyway, why not get paid for it!?!?  The compensation is $1000 per semester; if you have questions about the responsibilities and expectations, or want an application, please contact Liz at liz@cncumsl.org.  Applications will be available by the end of the day!  The due date for this application is Monday, May 5th. Thanks guys!

Catholicism does not call us to abandon the world but to help shape it. This does not mean leaving worldly tasks and responsibilities but transforming them...Social justice and the common good are built up or down day by day in the countless decisions and choices we make."
