About the Program
The graduate program in Museums, Heritage, and Public History showcases the best of an UMSL education: colabrative civic partnerships, academic excellence, and hollistic support for students. This interdisciplinary training with a strong historical core prepares students for professional careers in museums, historic sites, cultural agencies, and archives. Our program gives students exposure to the ethics and challenges faceing 21st century cultural organizations: collaboration and community engagement, digital media and new technologies, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
