ENGLISH 3310 ORAL SUMMARIES SCHEDULE FALL
2019
Be prepared to summarize, aloud and
in class, the appropriate lines.
Summaries should be accurate (get the story right!), concise (certainly no
more than three or four minutes), and judicious (not all details are equally
important); editorial comment or provocative questions are welcome after you
deliver the facts.
Submit to me on the day of your
assignment two version of your summary: one that’s
about 50 words long, and a more detailed one that’s about 200 words long; both
should fit on a single page.
