Mary Suiter (BS 1985) is Assistant Vice President & Economic Education Officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (and former Director of UMSL's Center for Entrepreneurship and Economic Education).  On April 21, 2017, she received the department’s annual Alumni Award for Outstanding Service to the Department.

Mary has maintained strong ties between the Federal Reserve Bank and our department, serves on the Dean of Arts & Sciences’ Leadership Council, alerts department members to job opportunities for students at the Fed, and is a generous donor to the department.

Mary and her husband Dave Suiter have recently established an annual scholarship which is matched by Boeing.  The Mary and David Suiter Scholarship in Economics is awarded annually to a full-time (12 or more hours per semester) undergraduate student who is majoring in economics, has demonstrated academic merit, and is from an underrepresented population in the economics discipline.

Mary Suiter was recipient of UMSL’s 2018 Distinguished Alumni Award.
