A little time warp...

Hello All,

I am a beginning to feel like I am in a time warp.... I am home doing many of the things I would normally do, and also, talking to Dan about 15 times a day, trying to keep up with the many things that are happening in his life... and keep him up to date on the things happening in my life. I am going back tomorrow, but I don't really have an exact plan yet...

He has been kept company by a nice long string of visitors. An old friend from Dan's pre-college days came for Saturday and Sunday (thanks Simon!)... during which time Dan had his cyst drained once and 2 CT scans (before and after) to check the progress. Fortunately, the latter scan indicates that they are making progress in shrinking the cyst. Somewhere in there, he also got his stitches out...

Monday, a friend of Dan's dad brought Dan a laptop to use (thanks Howard!). Not only is it nice to have a laptop he could use while I am here, the setting up process had some snafu's so he got to spend an hour trouble shooting as well... (grin). Later, a friend of Beth and Ed's came to visit, spent several hours, and brought Thai food... (thanks Phillip!). Dan really enjoyed the company. Monday, he also had visits from the Physical Therapist (who reports his walking and stair climbing are noticably improved from last week....) and from the Occupational Therapist (who reports good strengthening exercises are helping...). And, late in the evening, had his cyst drained again.

Today, our friend Rissa (thanks Rissa) is there visiting with him. Today, he will have a CT scan and hopefully will be able to talk with Dr. Black. It would be nice to get a sense of when he thinks Dan will get to come home... many of you have asked, and obviously, we are wondering as well.
