Subject: Some motion commotion....

Hi Gang,

The last two to three days have been a mild roller coaster ride... Tuesday at lunch Dan had a very bad headache. He refused all therapies that afternoon and went to sleep early. Wednesday was a little better, but again had a severe headache and difficulty participating in the therapies. The OT took his BP and HR and found the bp was good, but the heart rate was very high. So, they had him stay in bed the rest of the day. In the mean time he experienced intermitten low-grade fevers and waves of chills. He also lost some of the mobility gains he had been making (needing much more assistance walking and not being able to lift his arm or sqeeze his fingers anymore). Yesterday they were considering getting a CT scan or MRI to confirm that things were ok there. The Dr. and the OT and PT discussed it for a long time, and finally decided to wait. Then, finally by later in the afternoon yesterday, he was feeling well enough to go to PT and was able to find a little more range of motion.

Throughout this, he had a blood test indicating mild anemia (about 12.5) and liver test - normal functioning... also had a urine analysis yesterday, so I have not heard those results.

When I spoke to him this morning, he said his night had gone well, just "hot and cold".

Phyllis and Vally are coming this weekend to celebrate his birthday (which was Wednesday).
