Spring 2018 Test Dates

  • Wednesday, January 10
  • Thursday, January 11
  • Friday, January 12
  • Additional dates by request

Eligible Examinees

Residual testing may be required for:

  • enrolled UMSL students
  • students who have been admitted to UMSL
  • students applying to UMSL

In all three of these situations, students should not take a Residual ACT test unless they cannot take a scheduled administration of the ACT because of a deadline requirement. Residual ACT scores cannot be transferred to other institutions.

Retest Policy

There is a limit on the number of times examinees may take the ACT. For more information on retest limits, visit www.act.org/the-act/retestlimit. If an examinee tested previously through Residual testing, the retest should be taken on a regularly scheduled ACT National test date. A minimum of 60 days must elapse before repeat Residual testing. If the retest restrictions are violated, the retest scores will be canceled automatically without refund.

Sitting Fee

The sitting fee for an ACT Residual is $40 and is due at time of exam administration.

Preparation

A permitted calculator may be used on the ACT mathematics test only. All problems on the mathematics test can be solved without a calculator. The calculator must be turned off and put away during all other tests. It is the examinees responsibility to ensure that any calculator brought on the test day is permitted.

All examinees are required to present an acceptable form of identification:

  • Current Official Photo ID (government issued)
  • ACT Student Identification Form
