Turnitin software is a citation verification service that helps educators and students ensure that content in written documents is cited properly. Turnitin checks students work by comparing submitted papers to several databases maintained by the company. 

How do I set up Turnitin in my Canvas course?

Once logged into Canvas, click Courses on the left hand panel and then click All Courses towards the bottom of the flyout panel. Then click the button that reads Browse More Courses and then you should see CRS-WRITING-LAB. Click on +Join This Course and then you can use Turnitin.

You can also access Turnitin by enrolling in the UMSL Writing Center Resource site on Canvas. Click "Join Course" to gain full access. Once enrolled, instructions and other helpful information can be found on the course site.
