What is Zoom?
Zoom is a web conferencing tool used to meet virtually with others using video, audio, and chat. Participants can make use of screen sharing, a whiteboard tool, breakout rooms, and text chat. Zoom sessions can be recorded and automatically added to Panopto in Canvas.
Activate New Account
Sign in to https://umsystem.zoom.us to activate the account and you will have a licensed account which enables you to meet with up to 300 participants with no time limit.
If you are using a PC or MAC, it is highly recommended that you use the Zoom Outlook plugin (especially for staff), see below for link.

Zoom Webinar Request Form
Anyone within the UM System can request access to a shared Zoom Webinar license for events. These webinar licenses are assigned to a user for a specific date on a first-come, first-served basis.
Webinar licenses allow up to 5,000 attendees and have additional audience moderation options. If you are expecting over 300 attendees, please fill out the Zoom Webinar request form. There is no charge for this service.
