UMSL is committed to supporting students who have children and as such has developed a new initiative to connect parenting students with services available on the UMSL campus and the surrounding community through the Students Who Are Parents (SWAP) group. UMSL has many inspiring students who are parents and by highlighting their experiences as undergraduate or graduate students who are single, married or partnered and hearing their stories we will create a cohesive and supportive community of scholars. We understand that all students have unique experiences and have formed this group as a place to share and connect with other parenting students.
If you are interested in becoming a SWAP Ambassador please see information and the application here.
In an effort to continue building this initiative we welcome any feedback or suggestions. Please contact the UMSL Social Worker, Robin Kimberlin, with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
