The University of Missouri–St. Louis Campus Master Plan sets the vision for UMSL’s physical environment, including investments in facilities, renovations, infrastructure, and land/space use. In alignment with the campus master plan, major modifications to the campus footprint, including a consolidation of facilities, has begun. 

What is happening to Mansion Hill Condominiums?

Mansion Hill Condominiums will no longer be offered for university housing as the university seeks to limit its investment in aging facilities and accomplish its goal of consolidating its residential living facilities to the South Campus.

When will Mansion Hill Condominiums be taken offline?

 The closure of Mansion Hill will begin May 31, 2023.

When were current UMSL student residents notified of this change?

UMSL student residents at Mansion Hill Condominiums were notified of the complex closure on November 10, 2022. Current Mansion Hill residents who need additional time to relocate may be granted a summer lease (June 1 – August 31, 2023) on a case by case basis. Residential Life and Housing can provide additional information about the temporary summer lease process.

If current UMSL student residents move out of Mansion Hill before May 31, 2023, do they receive a refund?

Current Mansion Hill residents who secure alternate housing during the spring semester, and prior to the conclusion of their lease agreement, will not be charged cancellation fees and could be refunded any monthly prorated balance of their lease if move out occurs before May 1, 2023.
