March 2022
March marks the official celebratory month of Womxn's History but UMSL recognizes that womxn's history is part of our lives each and every day of the year. We take great pride in paying special attention to historical womxn and their contributions to society, as well as acknowledging the history that is actively being made regarding womxn today. UMSL's Womxn's History Month Planning committed curated the largest schedule of events for the 2022 celebration in order to honor and uplift the voices and experiences of womxn of the past and present.
This year's Womxn's History Month national theme was Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope. The planning committee felt inspired by this theme and decided to develop it further to encompass the programming to be held on UMSL's campus and developed Womxn's Lives: Paths to Healing, Hope and Empowerment as the 2022 UMSL Womxn's History Month theme. Below, we highlight a few of the events from the 2022 celebrations!
