We're here to make this process easier for you. We know that moving into a residential hall is an exciting moment in your college career. We've collected some handy information that you may find useful in guiding you through this process.

Housing Assignments
Housing assignments for Oak Hall will be available through Triton Housing Portal. Once housing assignments are made in our system, student accounts are automatically billed for the full room and board charge. Financial Aid then makes a disbursement up to 10 days prior to the start of class.
Oak Hall - First-Year Residents (Learn More)
Move-In Day is Thursday, August 18, 2022, between 8am and 3pm
- Moving in after hours? Text your cell phone number to the Resident Advisor (RA) on call at (314) 250-7086, or stop by the Oak Hall front desk.
Before You Can Move In
- Have your student ID at check-in. New UMSL students should have their ID card made several days prior to check-in to ensure the reader system accepts their new card.
Procedure for Check-In on Move-In Day 2022
- All check-ins begin in Oak Hall. Leave your luggage, etc. in the car but bring your paperwork and student ID.
- Parking:
- Lot KK allows 20 minutes for loading and unloading only.
- Behind Oak Hall is fine, though double parking is prohibited.
- Parking:
- Check-in with the front desk, and speak to a staff member to make sure all of your paperwork is in order.
- Sign for your room keys.
- Have your student ID encoded for your room and building.
- Pick up your welcome folder, sign up for your loft, etc.
- We have a limited amount of bed lofts available for rent. These lofts are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we suggest you take that into consideration when planning your arrival time to move in.
- Lofts are available for rent at the cost of $100 which will be charged to your student account.
- Head to your new room and meet your RA
- Complete a Room Condition Report, sign it and return it to your RA. Residents are responsible for any damages found at the time of checkout that were not noted upon move-in.
- Move in and have fun!!

Move-In Day:
- Freshmen & New Residents: Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 8 am to 3pm
- Returning Residents: Friday, August 19, 2022 from 8am to 2pm
