Jim has been responsible for nonresident tax compliance in higher education for 27 years. He worked at UMSL in International Studies & Programs/UMSL Global since 2012-2025 as the nonresident tax specialist and international student & scholar advisor. Prior to that, Jim worked at the University of North Texas for 22 years (1990-2012) in Payroll and Student Accounting. He has a BS in Accounting and an MS in Managerial Accounting Systems from the University of North Texas. Jim is also a Texas licensed CPA. He has remained in higher education for the entirety of his career because he enjoys helping students, faculty, and staff. This work enables him to meet many people from all over the world and learn things he never would otherwise.
