The UMSL Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a FREE confidential service available to all employees, their families, retirees and organizational work units. The EAP is designed to help prevent or resolve personal, family and workplace problems affecting employees’ wellbeing and job performance. It offers a variety of services and referrals to help employees affected by a range of personal concerns or stressors. It also may assist work units on an as needed basis.

Lara is available for consultation in 216 Marillac Hall on the south campus on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
and Fridays from 9:00 am - 3:30 p.m.


Lara is a Missouri Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).  She brings with her nearly 14 years of clinical counseling experience in a variety of settings, including mental health, substance abuse treatment, non-profit and higher education.  She has experience working with adults, children, adolescents and families.  Lara received her master’s degree in counseling from UMSL, and is excited about her return to campus!
