Room Requests for Courses on the Schedule of Classes
If you need to request a room change for a course on the schedule, and it is after the schedule has been publicized for students to see, you will need to have your departmental representative request the change using CourseLeaf Section Scheduler (CLSS). Please allow 24-48 hours after this change is submitted for the change to be processed (if available).
If this request is before the schedule has gone live, please contact your department and they will submit the change. Please note, only those designated to make room changes will be allowed to submit the request.
Room Reservations for Course Breakout Sessions / Special Ad Hoc Events
25Live is our official room reservation system for course breakout sessions and ad hoc event requests.
UMSL Faculty and Staff can submit reservation requests for centrally scheduled classrooms (those that are not department owned) using 25Live.
Events Services will now review events, excluding course-related activities and internal department events, to provide oversight of campus policy and risk management. This review is built into the Event Form within 25Live and is based on how specific questions are answered there; no additional action is needed outside of filling out the form as normal. Please allow an additional 1 – 2 business days for this review to take place.
Students will not be able to submit requests for classrooms. Faculty and staff will be required to make reservation requests on behalf of students who would like to schedule an event in a classroom. Events related to student organizations will also now require review from the Office of Student Involvement. This review is built into the Event Form within 25Live and is based on how specific questions are answered there; no additional action is needed outside of filling out the form as normal. Please allow an additional 1 – 2 business days for this review to take place.
The Registrar's Office will then review and approve all room reservation requests and will contact you if there are any issues or concerns. Please note, that classes are given precedence over ad hoc requests.
Instructional Computing Support Services (email@example.com) provides support for any of the classroom technology available and for the locking/unlocking of rooms.
Do NOT use this process for the following:
NOTE: Classroom reservation requests during a semester cannot be made until the course schedule for that semester is complete and all courses are assigned to rooms. Once that is finalized, individual room requests can be submitted. For example, the spring schedule must be finalized before you can make a reservation request for any date within that term.
To make a classroom reservation visit 25Live.
*Please note that new classes are being added to the schedule every day and official classes take precedence over ad-hoc events. In the event that a class is scheduled that conflicts with your event, we will contact you and attempt to make alternate arrangements.
To view a detailed list of the technology in each classroom, please visit the Classroom Listing on the Instructional Support Services page.
Please view the Campus Map for detailed information on building and room locations on campus.
