Dr. Stephanie Merritt received her Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Michigan State University in 2007. Her program of research centers on attitudes and their relationships with behaviors and focuses on three major areas:
- Exploring prejudice and discrimination in organizations, particularly in terms of how implicit (i.e., automatically activated) attitudes affect attitudes and behaviors
- Identification and trust and other individual difference predictors of trust in automated systems
- Examination of the role of attitudes and expectations in college student retention. Overarching all of these areas is an interest in attitude conceptualization and measurement
