Evening Triton Take-Off Weekend Traditions: Friday

4:30pm-7:00pm       Meet Your Team & Dinner, Meet on the Lawn by the Volleyball Court in front of Oak Residence Hall

All students living on-campus, please meet your Welcome Leaders outside with a sign with your assigned team number, numbers emailed out in August. (Dinner-use meal plan or pay at register)

Bring your class schedule and connect with other transfer/commuter students.  Welcome Leaders will walk you to your classes and will go to the next event called Serendipity Sendoff and Welcome Picnic.

4:45-5:15pm

Final Meeting with Welcome Leader

Time to answer any last questions, team picture, learn about Sunday events, and head to the Serendipity Sendoff event as a team. First-Year groups will review next steps before their first FYE Class with items to prepare with Canvas, classroom etiquette, and relieve any first day nerves.

Join us in this ceremonial passing of the torch to all incoming students.  Make your mark on this new journey by signing the Official Trident as we officially welcome new students to the Triton Family and kickoff the new academic year.  All incoming students and their families are encouraged to attend and wear their “UMSL red and gold” for the photo with Louie, UMSL mascot and official University Welcome Ceremony.
