What is Triton Take-Off Weekend?
Triton Take-Off Weekend is the University of Missouri-St. Louis’s premier extended orientation program for new students. Triton Take-Off Weekend is designed to aid incoming students in their transition to college by developing a diverse social network of classmates, upperclassmen, and faculty & staff members, while strengthening their bond to UMSL through the introduction of campus culture and traditions.
Students will move into their on-campus residence halls early and activities will begin on Friday night. All camp programs and activities are designed to be engaging, entertaining, energetic, and insightful.
What should I expect?
Expect to have lots of fun! You will have the chance to meet new people, serve the UMSL campus and St. Louis community, identify your individual strengths that will help you succeed in college, and so much more.
You are placed in a variety of small groups led by upper-class mentors to participate in activities, have discussions, win competitions, and get to know the UMSL campus. Some of the favorite activities that happen are the kick-off, donuts with the deans, Greek Freeze, Strange Like Me, college 101 breakout sessions, Serendipity Sendoff, Welcome Back Picnic and various team meetings, just to name a few.
Be on the lookout for updates and announcements throughout the summer on our Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
Look for a message in July with your team number at your UMSL Email address from your WOW Crew Leaders! Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions!
