B-17: Preyer Photograph Collection of German Locomotives

History: This collection was donated by Ms. Evelyn Preyer in 2003 and

Scope: This collection of 105 photographs focuses on German locomotives used from the 1920s to 1950, including both roster and scenic shots, and is strongest in the mid-1930s. The photograph collection includes both steam and electric locomotives with many streamlined locomotives represented as well as military units. Most of the photographs are by Carl Bellingrodt. Other photographers include Hermann Maey and H. Rasqui.

Access: Collection B-17 may be photocopied or scanned for personal research use, but may not be duplicated for reproduction. The collection is currently unorganized.
