Submit to or Visit Celebrating the Arts, April 15-19 2019!

This annual art show, hosted by the Pierre Laclede Honors College, features original creative works by students, alumni, staff, and faculty campus-wide. Each show includes artistic works in a variety of media, from drawings, paintings, and photographs, to creative embroidery, sculptures, and costume design. 

SUBMIT YOUR ART
All UMSL students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to submit up to 4 original works in any medium for consideration for the show. Submissions may be dropped off 9:00-5:00 in the Honors College Main Office, C-109 Provincial House (South Campus).
Submissions for Celebrating the Arts 2019 are accepted from now through April 12 at 5:00pm.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Up to 4 original creative works are allowed
  • Any visual medium is accepted as long as we can reasonably display the art
  • All pieces will be displayed on easels, if possible. Please try to mat or frame prints or paper works
  • Please try to limit to works no larger than 48” in height or width (exceptions will be considered)
  • Include a label with artist’s name and title of the piece on the back of each submitted work
  • Include a printed and completed copy of this form with submitted works.

Please also include a completed and printed Submission Form with submissions (copies of the Submission Form are also available in the Main Office).

 

VISIT THE SHOW
Each spring, during one full week in April, creative works are displayed in the Honors College. All UMSL students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to visit the show and vote for their favorite pieces. Prizes are awarded for “Best in Show” and “Runner Up.”
“Celebrating the Arts 2019" will be open for visitors April 15-19, from 9:00-4:30, in Provincial House Halls (South Campus)
