Walter Denton has been the City Administrator for the City of O’Fallon, Illinois, since 2002. Prior to that, he served as the Assistant City Manager for the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and also worked for the cities of Wichita, Kansas, and Liberty, Missouri. Educational achievements include a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as participation in the University of Virginia Senior Executive Institute and the ICMA Gettysburg Leadership Institute. Walter is an ICMA Credentialed Manager and is involved in several professional and service organizations, including the International City/County Management Association, Illinois City/County Management Association, St. Louis Area City Management Association, and Southwestern Illinois City/County Management Association.
