Students seeking official degree evaluations must first apply to UMSL by completing the Undergraduate Admissions Application  and being admitted as a Pre-Clinical student, Clinical student, or RN to BSN completion to UMSL’s College of Nursing.

How do I get my transcripts evaluated?

Students must first apply and be admitted to UMSL by completing the Undergraduate Admissions Application. Upon admission, students can schedule an appointment with an advisor to discuss transferred courses and how they apply to UMSL’s BSN degree.

Is there a way to get a guaranteed spot in UMSL’s program?

The one and only one way for students to be guaranteed a space in our program is if they come to UMSL as a first-time freshman and meet the guaranteed clinical admission criteria. These students will earn a guaranteed clinical space in the Full-Time Traditional BSN Option. All other applicants to the Traditional Option and Accelerated Option, must compete for a space. We have no way of predicting how an applicant will compare to the rest of the applicant pool for the semester for which they are applying. However, we do know that clinical admission is very competitive, and that we generally have between 3-5 qualified applicants per space each semester.

Students who have not been admitted to UMSL’s clinical program are not permitted to take courses required for the clinical portion of the BSN degree. Required general education requirements can be taken by any student.

Do you have any scholarships for nursing students?

Scholarships that are offered through UMSL's College of Nursing are restricted to undergraduate students who have already been admitted to the clinical portion of one of our BSN Options or graduate students. Can I schedule an advising appointment without being a student?

How many courses can I transfer towards your nursing program?

Students can transfer up to 49 credit hours towards the Pre-Clinical coursework and 48 hours for the RN to BSN completion. None of the Clinical classes may be transferred in.

Can I start the DNP program immediately after completing my BSN?

Students can begin the DNP program immediately after obtaining their BSN and successfully passing the NCLEX.
