Lenora Gooden

Lenora Gooden is Vice President of Operations for The St. Louis Area Foodbank, the Bi-State region’s largest non-profit food distribution center dedicated to feeding those in need. 

She began her career at the Foodbank in 1996 and over her 23-year span has gained a wealth of experience within the Non-Profit arena.  Her passion for giving hope to her community and the Foodbank’s mission to feed those in need has been the driving force behind her success.  She was instrumental in growing the distribution of food and personal care items from 18 million pounds in 1998 to over 43 million pounds in 2018. 

She leads a team of 37 employees and oversees all aspects of operations from logistics to agency capacity and compliance.  Her current focus is creating efficient ways to optimize the current warehouse flow to allow for increased programs and distribution.

She grew up in St. Louis and received her BS in Sociology & Minor in Criminology from The University of Missouri St. Louis.  Prior to the Foodbank, she spent 5 years in radio in Los Angeles, California before moving back to St. Louis in 1993. 

In her free time, she enjoys Zumba, hanging with family and enjoying life with her amazing husband Reggie & 2 cats Jules & Lady!
