Bio: After spending most of my professional career abroad, I have returned back to my native Midwest and joined the Department of Language & Cultural Studies at UMSL. I have lived and taught in the Czech Republic, South Korea, Thailand, the UAE and various domestic locations, most recently at George Mason University in Virginia. My research interests are Intercultural Competence, Language Policy and Sociolinguistics. Here at UMSL I teach EAP courses to our international students as well as Cultural Studies courses.
