How to Get the Most from Your Appointment

Please know that we don’t have to cover everything in one appointment and we want you to succeed!  Progress is made through active participation on your part.  Come ready to have a conversation and share your thoughts and ideas about your career goals.

  • Consider your initial goal(s) for the meeting and write down questions.
  • Bring your resume-even if it is not up-to-date or something created in high school.  We’ll help you make it better.
  • Be sure to bring something for taking notes!  We’ll cover much information that you’ll want to review later.
  • Come again!  We have many resources to offer you.

Please Remember that The Career Team:

  • Is available to help you with areas ranging from career exploration and decision making to action planning for internships, job searching, and graduate school.
  • Is here to help you find information and resources necessary to make informed decisions about your career.
  • Works collaboratively with you to brainstorm and develop strategies and ideas to find success.

Note:
We are not a placement agency, but have resources and events for you to connect with employers.  While Career Services aim is to support students through the job search, we are not able to provide long-term career counseling or coaching.  Appointments are available as long as progress is being made.
