American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED - Adult, Child & Infant

The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age - adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age).

Participants who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.  This course includes 6 hours of instruction, and when offered in one day, a lunch break.  Participants should be prepared to sit, stand, kneel and lie down throughout the course as they experience a combination of classroom instruction and skill practice.


Class #1: Monday, October 2nd, 9:00a-3:00p

Class #2: Friday, October 6th, 1:00p-7:00p

Class #3: Saturday, October 7th, 9:00a-3:00p

Class #4: Saturday, October 14th, 9:00a-3:00p

Advance registration is required with a minimum class size of 3 participants.  If the minimum is not reached three days prior to the first class meeting, the class will be cancelled.  Registration may be completed online or with Member Services in the Recreation and Wellness Center.  Click here for instructions on setting up an online account.  Participants will receive an email prior to the class date with course specific information related to materials, meeting location and parking.
