Our Campus Master Plan will set the vision for UMSL’s physical environment.
It’s our road map for the future of the UMSL campus and will help us drive decisions and guide future investments in our facilities, development, renovations, infrastructure, land and space use, as well as architecture and design principles.
The University of Missouri–St. Louis is in the process of creating a new Campus Master Plan that will shape our campus environment over the next five years, and beyond. We know that the UMSL community extends beyond campus, and it’s critical that our future is shaped by our students, staff, faculty and neighbors — near and far.
To make sure our plan incorporates the experiences and ideas of all parts of the UMSL community, a comprehensive survey launched in May to gain broad feedback. This survey closed on June 6. During this same timeframe, a series of stakeholder sessions was held across constituent groups, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends, community members and administration. In August, we gathered more detailed feedback about the kinds of physical spaces and amenities stakeholders wanted to see on and around campus, and why, through additional surveys and interactive workshops.
