About me
My name is Yohanes Sukrislismono. I'm MBA student at UMSL. In 2007 I got schoolarship program from my company,PLN. PLN stands for Perusahaan Umum Listrik Negara (an Indonesia Electricity State owned Comapany). I've been working for 15 years at that company. My backgroud is electrical engineer but by the time I joined in PLN I never work as an engineer instead of as a customer service. I'm interrested in this job much. I love my company because they nurture me since I was fresh graduate. They give me chance to be a profesional in my interest. I got many tour of dutuies in many posisitions as listed bellow. Hopefully I will finish my study by May 2009 and can work together with my team. I love traveling, cooking, and reading.

Chicken soup with noodles and aromatic
Last night my brother told me that yesterday was his son’s birthday. My mom’s made special food for her beloved grandchild, soto ayam (chicken soup with noodles and aromatic). Immediately I had serious craving to eat that yellow soup too. Soto ayam is a kind of Indonesia soup. There are many kinds of sotos in Indonesia such as soto betawi, soto madura, soto lamongan, soto babat, soto makasar, soto kudus and thousand sotos that I can’t remember all. Those soto are different each other and only available at certain place, for example Soto betawi only available at Jakarta made from beef and coconut milk while soto makasar only available in Makassar made from rib with clear gravy.
Soto ayam is usually available in Madura or Central Java, in Madura it called as Soto madura but in Central Java it called as Soto kudus. The difference between them are the color of the chicken broths and how to serve. The broths of Soto madura more yellow and it is served with kerupuk (something like crackers) rather than more light and served in small portion for soto kudus. The color of the chicken broths made from turmeric which is many people believes good for liver disorders. Although all the sotos are different but they still have similarity i.e. the basic ingredient needs peeper, coriander and ginger. The differences in unity…!
Fahrenheit and Celsius
Communication is defined as a process by which we assign and convey meaning in an attempt to create shared understanding (cited from Wikipedia). By that definition we must have same interpretation about the object of communication. This definition is valid for the measurement too. As we now there are many measurements in the world such as metric system, imperial and us customary units, natural units etc, so that to avoid misinterpretation we must know how to convert each system. Here is my experience about that misinterpretation…
Last November was my first experienced with fall season. I was very happy because I would know snow. My friend told me usually the snow comes on November. I was not patient waiting snow and accidentally the snow did not come until the end of November. I was very enthusiastic when he asked me to go to Kansas City. He told me that there was snow in Kansas City. He told me too that I might prepare a jacket because the temperature was 20 degree. I was very enjoy in the car when saw the white flake felt down from sky. It was amazing. White, white and white were everywhere. But it was horrible when we arrived at Kansas City and wanted to play with the snow. I could stay outside only for 15 minutes. It was very cold. I thought 20 degree was not too cold but I got wrong interpretation with the measurement system. In my country we always use Celsius so that 20 degree is only clement temperature but in US which uses Fahrenheit so that it’s very cold. For that reason I need to convert to Celsius before I predict how cold the temperature. You can use my calculator below if you want to convert from Celsius to Fahrenheit or vice versa.
