Training
Research opportunities exist for undergraduate (broad majors), graduate (MS or PhD in vision science),
and optometry (OD or OD/MS) students. Funding, position and schedule largely depend on whether the
student is enrolled in a graduate degree program.
For any student, the broad training goal is to develop
interests and skills in research. This goal is achieved through active involvement in a research project,
including literature review, experiment design, computer programming, research subject participation,
research subject management, data analysis, and presentation of findings in abstract or paper form.
Please contact Dr. Wong if you are interested in research training and for details about current studies.
