PROVENANCE

 

Martin Walsh donated this collection to the Western Historical Manuscript Collection in increments between 2-9-2007 and 10-8-2007.   Walsh was a longtime St. Louis native and a consulting engineer. 

 

HISTORY

 

The Walsh Collection consists of brochures, books, pictures, booklets, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, and other materials relating to the history of St. Louis, earthquakes, and other topics such as the Space Program, WWI, and WWII. 

 

SCOPE AND CONTENT

 

This collection is divided into three series.  The collection focuses heavily upon information regarding to earthquakes (Series I).  The secondary focus is on St. Louis (Series 3) and other topics of inquiry (Series 2).
