Edna Carroll donated her papers to the WHMC in 1984.
Ms. Carroll attended Webster College in 1932-1933. She later finished her degree in journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Ms. Carroll worked as a reporter for the Louisville Courier-Journal, and editor for the Associated Press and Chicago Tribune. She also tutored for the Work Release Program of the St. Louis County Jail and volunteered at the St. Louis Science Center. In the 1960s she worked for the development office for Washington University. Ms. Carroll died on May 5, 2008.
SCOPE AND CONTENT
The Edna Carroll papers include schoolwork and news clippings from her time at Webster College. They also contain issues of Transit News; and pamphlets from her other careers.
