This addenda is composed of two accessions. The first accession, received in August of 1991 by Carol Perkins, includes publications, awards, notebooks, and the correspondence of Marlin Perkins. The second accession, donated by Gaye Buzbee Jacobs on February 15, 2005, includes a photo album and additional photographs.

SCOPE AND CONTENT
The Marlin Perkins Papers document the career and activities of Dr. R. Marlin Perkins. Perkins served as director of the St. Louis Zoo from 1962 to 1970. This addenda includes publications, awards, notebooks, of Marlin Perkins, as well as photographs from an ablum created by Perkins' parents, Judge and Mrs. J.D. Perkins.

SERIES DESCRIPTIONS
SERIES 1. PUBLICATIONS, AWARDS, NOTEBOOKS, AND CORRESPONDENCE, 1947-1987. FOLDERS 2 THROUGH 4.
This series contains awards earned by Marlin Perkins, as well as a Time Magazine article and related correspondence. In addition, it contains one personal notebook, one photograph, one lecture program, and one audio recording of Perkins’s book.

SERIES 2. FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHS, 1901-1912. FOLDERS 1 AND 5
This series consists of an empty but ornate family photo album with loose photographs on the side. The photo album belongs to Judge and Mrs. J.D. Perkins, the parents of Marlin Perkins.
