Funeral Services Tomorrow For Robert L. Morton

 

Died From Pneumonia Following Operation

Funeral services will be held tomorrow fro Robert Lee Morton, who died Saturday evening, March 18th, at Stuart, Florida, where he and Mrs. Morton have their winter home.

His many friends were shocked at the news of his death as it was thought he was well on toward recovery from an appendicitis operation performed at the hospital in Stuart four weeks ago.

His death was attributed to an attack of pneumonia which set in about a week before he died.

Mr. Morton was 73 years of age and a member of the general insurance firm of Morton and Morton. He formerly held the office of President of the St. Louis Rotary Club.

His is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Matthews Morton; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Anderson, 701 W. Kirkham Avenue, Mrs. Raymond Weise, Evanston, Ills., and MRs. Joseph Stehlin, Jacksonville, Florida; and fours sons, Stratford Lee Morton, 107 Joy Avenue, Leonard Matthews Morton, 423 Westgate Avenue, University City, Charles Matthews Morton, Ridgeton, St. Louis County and Robert Lee Morton, Jr.

Services will be conducted from the Scottish Rite Cathedral, 3637 Lindell boulevard, Saturday, March 25th, at 2 P.M. He will lie in state at the Cathedral from 10 A.M. until the services.
