RE MAIL

I feel very strongly that the handling of my personal mail is of extreme importance, especially in maintaining good will as well as future contributions for MEDICO. This mail has been handled excellently by Miss G while with us. She and the Dr. Dooley Aid Club at the M. L. I. Co. will continue on their free time at no cost, of course, to handle as much mail as they can for us.

However, I do not think this is enough. I strongly suggest that you hire one stenographer that Tess train thoroughly in my feelings toward the mail, typical response; the handling of school children's letters, projects requests, etc.

I do not feel that Gloria could adequately ( with all the other tasks) handle this personal mail. Before t.v. shows it used to run about l,000 letters a day and after any t.v. show it jumps to 3,000 to 4,000 a day.

This mail should not be treated lightly.
