SUPPORT OF DOOLEY'S WORK

Dooley and his crew were supported by numerous people in various ways.
After arriving in Muong Sing, Dooley, Rhine, and Davis had to do some construction work including cementing, painting, and building to prepare their home and their hospital for use. The villagers were very willing to help with the construction work. |

Teresa Gallagher, Dooley's volunteer secretary, tried to help Dooley and his crew any way she could. In addition to helping Dooley with his mail, she contacted Sunkist to try to get drink mixes that would provide a variation of drinks in Laos. Sunkist responded with an offer to help. |

Dooley also obtained money and supplies during his lecture tours. People would donate money to his cause after hearing his lectures and reading his books. Several pharmaceutical companies donated medicines and vitamins, and other companies donated surgical instruments and other supplies. |
