After his return to the United States in April 1960, Rhine continued to support Dooley's projects. He gave speeches about his experiences with Dooley in Laos to share Dooley's work and gain support. He also contributed his experiences to writers, who published articles about Dooley's projects.

In 1960, the TV Producer-Director at the University of Texas, Bill Oxley, invited Rhine to talk about his expierences in Laos on the television program "Colloquy." |

In January 1962, Rhine spoke to the adult and senior departments of the church school at the First Methodist Church in Georgetown, Texas. He discussed his time with Dooley in Laos and described the MEDICO programs in Laos and Vietnam. |

Malcolm Dooley, Dr. Dooley's brother, wrote to inform Rhine that he would receive a letter from Reader's Digest asking him to contribute memories of Dr. Tom Dooley for a special feature. He later sent a telegram urging Rhine to contribute his recollections of Dr. Dooley. Later, James Monahan, senior editor of Reader's Digest, wrote thanking Rhine for his contribution about Dooley. |

Also, Rhine and Davis both talked at schools and various organizations about the work of MEDICO, trying to inform the public. Rhine received several donations, which he then turned over to MEDICO to help with its work. |
