CORRESPONDENCE WITH
LAOTIANS

Also following his return to the United States, Rhine corresponded with friends he had made in Laos. One man Rhine kept in contact with was Ho Tze-yu, a KMT Chinese officer. He was one of the patients at Muong Sing, and Dooley, Rhine, and Davis treated him for opium addiction. He was very appreciative of their help.

In their letters, the people in Laos told Rhine how much they missed him, and they asked about his family and everyone's health.
