LETTERS FROM AMERICANS

Dooley had great support from many American people.

In 1959, a woman from Kansas City wrote that Dooley "was truly one of the greats of our day," and that she would pray for him and his work.

A medical student wrote Dooley, explaining how Dooley's work in Laos inspired him to study to practice medicine.

A twelve-year-old girl sent Dooley a dollar, a "Spiritual Bouquet," and told him that she wanted to be a nurse and work in Laos.

A fourteen-year-old girl read about Dooley and his work in Look and Reader's Digest. She wanted to help people, so she sent Dooley her babysitting money. Dooley replied, thanking her for the money and telling her it would be used to help people learn to help themselves.
