The Sara Jackson Award

In recognition of Sara Jackson's commitment to minority students and
graduate research, an annual award of $500 will be given in support of
student (M.A. or Ph.D.) research in the field of Western history. The
award
has been endowed by the friends and colleagues of Sara Jackson.
Preference
will be given to African American or other minority students. Students
should send a letter of application, vita, and description of their
research
project accompanied by a letter of support from their faculty adviser
to
each member of the committee (see below).
