Words of wisdom to new and prospective students: If you are nervous about making friends, join clubs and organizations. Not only will it help you meet people, but it is a great way to find leadership roles, which is a great way to obtain scholarships.

What I like most about UMSL: The things that I like most about UMSL are the friendly atmosphere, the new and exciting people that attend school here, and the great faculty.

Best aspect of working for the Welcome Center: The best aspect of working for the Welcome Center would have to be the fun and exciting friends that you meet as well as being able to show new and prospective students around campus.

What I like most about UMSL: The things that I like best about UMSL are being able to complete my education and having help available to me when I need it. The professors are very understandable, and they really care about you. I love that there are many things to do at UMSL and several different organizations to choose from that helps with the development of leadership skills. UMSL is an institution that helps students grow as individuals because of the countless opportunities that it offers.

Best aspect of working for the Welcome Center: The best aspect would be being able to speak with prospective students and answering there questions about UMSL. I love being able to share my experiences at UMSL and feel great when I help others. Being a tour guide has helped me gain leadership skills that will continue to help me as I move closer towards my dreams.

Words of wisdom to new and prospective students: Be yourself and get involved. Gain leadership experience in clubs and organizations. Last, but not least, never be afraid to ask for help.

What I like most about UMSL: A lot of things are discounted to UMSL students. I also love the location of the campus because of its close proximity to the U-City Loop and Downtown St. Louis.
